The Side Hustle to Entrepreneurship!

Side Hustle(1)

For some it started with a lemonade stand. For others, it was newspaper delivery or babysitting. However it began … you were likely doing the side hustle from an early age.

What’s a side hustle, you ask? Side hustling is a term that refers to work you do outside of your full-time job.

You may have done the side hustle as a teenager….maybe you are still doing it.

As an adult, the side hustle is a way to make some extra cash that allows you flexibility to pursue what you’re most interested in – your real passion. Perhaps your real passion is fashion, travel, speaking, coaching, consulting, your invention or whatever it is you care about the most, but you are not yet able to quit your day job.

Often the transition from a “safe and secure job” to becoming an entrepreneur begins with doing the side hustle. It’s a way to test the waters.

Being fiscally responsible means finding a way to side hustle until you can cover your nut/expenses (haha). The side hustle might be just what you need to get you over the hump.

Consider a company that offers a business in a box otherwise known as direct marketing. Ask yourself, “What are you willing to give up to see your dream become a reality?”

When I began venturing into the entrepreneurial world, I began with direct marketing companies … selling Avon when I was 19, and later when I was interested in learning how to host live events, I bought a license for eWomenNetwork. Both offered back end systems and opportunities from which to learn.

Further, both offer a business in a box system to allow you to get going with little investment. Working in a business that mirrors something you are thinking of starting allows you to see firsthand the challenges and successes. It’s like completing an MBA program in the industry while you earn money and more important, experience.

There are so many to choose from nowadays. Rodan and Fields is a fabulous company offering its consultants the most up-to-date and current skin care products available. Want to learn more contact Linda Ferguson at lindafergusonskin@gmail.com or visit her website at http://www.LindaFergusonSKIN.myrandf.com/ca. She is my representative. Or how about one of the newest products in Nygard Style Direct, which I love!

Their site states, “As an independent stylist, you’ll run your own business, set your own schedule, earn an income, and best of all, you’ll get to help other women look and feel beautiful. It’s a perfect fit!”

I get all my clothes from my amazing Nygard Stylist, Charlene Bishop. I love having my clothes come right to my door. Reach out to Charlene at c1bishop@telus.net or visit her website at http://charlenebishop.nygardstyle.com/ for more information.
