How it all Began
With me publishing my memoir seven years ago. Shortly after that I was working and living my legacy life. For me, this meant building a global business and reaching 13.1 million women – a BIG number to be sure. I had a plan – that plan included serving those in need in other countries.
In the summer of 2017, Michael (my husband) and I rolled up our sleeves and developed what some would call an over ambitious dream but to us, it was a vision, and we were committed. Soon it was time to test our idea which had now taken on a life of its own. It was also time for us to live all the elements of what I call a Frockalicious Life and to that end, we, along with our pup Mia Mukluks Dibblee and Tequila, our grumpy cat, hit the road Oct 29th, 2017 and drove with our tiny home in tow to Baja California Sur Mexico and lived on the beach for four months.
And in short order, we began volunteering and going deep. First, it was the animals, oh the animals so cute and in need of help and then the orphanage and that was it… We were all in.
Before long we were living the life, or as they say in Mexico – Viviendo la Vida. Each morning began watching the sunrise followed by a walk on the beach, paddle boarding or snorkeling, and it was truly magical.
Little did I know at the time that trip would impact and change the trajectory of our lives in such a profound way.
There is something so soul-filling, about waking each morning and walking the beaches of the Sea of Cortez, known as the jewel of the North American continent, the Sea of Cortez is dazzling with her array of glistening colors and kaleidoscope of tropical fish, dolphins, sea lions, whales, sharks, and manta rays. It’s like no other on earth.
We must make time and space to fill our cups, and keep our purpose and passion ignited.
And so I invite you to experience with me My Los Barriles, Mexico, this beautiful seaside gem where the mystical, ethereal, majestic, and the untamed seaside village offers unsurpassed yet simplistic beauty.

At Ignite You we run all humanitarian efforts through Team Humanity Baja. Team Humanity is a group of heart-centered individuals who are committed to actively being the change. Each understands it takes many hands, and that one person can make a difference.
Established in March 2019 to serve the needs of the poorest of poor in The Colonies in San Jose Del Cabo. And serve as a collective conduit for the three following groups – Cortez Rescue (Los Barriles), New Creations Kids Orphanage (La Paz) and SNAP -Los Barriles Team Humanity Baja is determined to create impact.
